R.U.S.E is a real-time strategy game for Windows, Xbox 360 and PS3. The game puts you in command of a small army and pits you against computer and human opponents in several different game modes. The first mode you should play is the campaign mode, which is accompanied by a nice story. In that mode, you will be shown the different elements of the game during the first few missions. You start with a barebones army, with only tanks and infantry, but as you progress through the game, you get the good stuff, like all sorts of planes, artillery and special units. You will also be introduced to one of the games' main components: Ruses. In this game, you can beat a more powerful army if you play your cards right. It all boils down to surprising your opponent with hidden units, better strategies and precise strikes.
Graphically, R.U.S.E doesn't really offer anything too great. I have seen better graphics in RTS games. However, the way the game is presented to you is great. You see all the action from the air. If you zoom out enough, you will see that you are really playing on a table on some military room, which is a great detail.
The gameplay is great, but it takes some getting used to. But once you learn the basics, the game is very fun and rewarding. There are some downloadable game content packs that you can download that give you extra features like thermonuclear warfare.
In short, this is a great game that any fan of real-time strategy games should try.
